impactHR is a growing human resources consulting firm that specializes in providing human resources solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. We offer clients broad and diverse services and aim to support them in building a foundation for their human resources function. Our clients range in size and industry, from start-ups of two employees to multi-site corporations of 500 employees. Our home is Edmonton, AB, but we support businesses throughout Alberta and across Canada.

The Opportunity

We are currently looking to hire a permanent full-time Human Resources Consultant in Edmonton, AB. You’ll get to work with a growing and entrepreneurial organization where you will gain valuable experience in human resources across a variety of industries.

While the Human Resources Consultant will be based in Edmonton, we anticipate that support will be required throughout Alberta. The position is ideal for a generalist, as the type of client work will vary and may include talent acquisition, employee engagement initiatives, employee relations, policy development, compensation and benefits, talent management and succession planning, and training & development. 

Who You Are

This position is ideal for a human resources professional with a generalist background who thrives in a changing and flexible work environment. You enjoy working with a variety of clients and developing long-term and collaborative working relationships. You have the ability to work in teams by fostering a team atmosphere, team accountability, and willingness to share in team successes. You are also a self-starter, who is motivated to push initiatives through to completion, while mobilizing others to act.

You have diverse experience in human resources, working primarily as a generalist. 2-3 years of experience is preferred, but we will also consider new graduates with co-op experience. A post-secondary education in human resources along with a CPHR designation (or working towards) is preferred.

There will be a combination of in-office, remote, and on-site client work. Travel may be 25-30% (within Edmonton) depending on the client engagement and workload. You must have access to reliable transportation and are willing to work a flexible schedule.
